		<content type="html">&lt;P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"&gt;Seventy five riders joined us for the DecemBEARD rail jam held&amp;nbsp; Friday at the Govyville Terrain park under the lights at Skibowl&amp;nbsp; sponsored by Atmostphere Clothing.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; More video and photos will be on the Atmosphere blog and on Shred NW, but as you can see, Terrain Park Manager Jesse MacDonald and the mountain crew created incredible features under the lights, including the pole that launched riders.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;BR&gt;Fan favorite was Richie Walsh and Best Beard went to Ryan Stephans.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Watch for details about the 4-F Rail Jams at Skibowl, Jan 7, Jan. 21, Feb 4 and Feb. 18.&amp;nbsp; That last night is 80’s Night at Skibowl.&amp;nbsp; Details to come! &lt;/P&gt;</content>

		<content type="html">&lt;P&gt;Looks to be another "bluebird day in the making.&amp;nbsp; Now, besides being America's Largest Night Ski Area, Skibowl is&amp;nbsp;offering&amp;nbsp;its &amp;nbsp;fans more midweek daylight hours for snow riding too.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; This season, Skibowl opens&amp;nbsp;is open 9&amp;nbsp;a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursdays&amp;nbsp; (&lt;EM&gt;formerly, we opened those days at 1 p.m&lt;/EM&gt;.).&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR&gt;We&amp;nbsp;rock&amp;nbsp;night skiing seven days a week, and that includes Sunday so you can&amp;nbsp;avoid the" Sunday Sadness" of sitting in traffic. &lt;p style="margin-right: 0in; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;Meteorologist Mark Nelson of Fox 12 said: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-right: 0in; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;em&gt;Lots of precipitation and cool weather systems = tons of mountain snow.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-right: 0in; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;em&gt;11 of 12 moderate-strong La Nina events since 1954 have produced above normal snow at Government Camp.&amp;nbsp; Seems like a pretty good snow signal, doesn’t it?&amp;nbsp; The last La Nina winter (2007-2008) was a massive snow year in the Cascades…definitely at the extreme upper end.&amp;nbsp; Get a season pass!!!&amp;nbsp; No, I haven’t accepted a free ski pass in years, so you can be assured I’m not biased.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-right: 0in; line-height: 150%;"&gt;The Fusion is definitely the best Mt. Hood Pass to get.&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Snow riders benefit from the the longest season with skiing at Timberline—now through May 30-- and the steepest slopes at Skibowl—where 40% &lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;of the slopes are Black Diamond—more than any other resort in Oregon.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-right: -4.5pt; line-height: 150%;"&gt;Skibowl is usually operating by Thanksgiving, but last season it opened early--November 13.&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;The&lt;span&gt; earliest opening day in recent years was November 11, back in 1994.&amp;nbsp; Opening dates over the past four years &lt;/span&gt;have been:&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;December 14, 2008; November 30, 2007; November&lt;span&gt; 25, 2006&lt;/span&gt; and &lt;span&gt;December 1, 2005.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</content>

		<content type="html">More than a hundred dogs in all shapes and sizes, along with their&amp;nbsp; owners, turned out for the first ever Dog Day at the Adventure Park at Skibowl on Sunday for&amp;nbsp; a fun run/walk to benefit the Oregon Guide Dogs for the Blind.&amp;nbsp; Walkers chose from a 1, 2 or 6 mile&amp;nbsp; hike in the Mt. Hood National Forest, then enjoyed vendors, raffles, a dog friendly beer garden and&amp;nbsp; best pet trick contests.&amp;nbsp; Kirk Hanna, the owner of the Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl has pledged proceeds of the event to support the Guide Dog program. Watch for this to become an annual event. &lt;br /&gt;

		<content type="html">&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Mt. Hood Heritage Day was celebrated on Saturday, September 18, highlighted by an auction to benefit the Mt. Hood Cultural Center &amp;amp; Museum, held at the Starlight Room at Mt. Hood Skibowl. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Nearly 100 friends of the museum turned out to silent and live auction fundraiser, which raised over $11,000 for the Museum.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;In addition to supporting the event by hosting local artisans and exhibitors during the daytime and providing space for both the silent and oral auctions, Skibowl owner Kirk Hanna made an additional donation of $2,000 to the support the museum, as announced by Hans Wipper, museum board member and operations manager at Skibowl.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;“We are happy to support the museum and its ongoing efforts to preserve and showcase the history and recreational legacy of Mt. Hood,” said Kirk Hanna.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Auction items included an actual chairlift originally installed in 1961 to accommodate early night skiing at Mt. Hood, which at the time, was the world’s fast lift.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Nearly every other Government Camp business and many individuals contributed items to the auction, including artwork, ski gear, ski passes dining gift certificates, jewelry, giftware and furnishings.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;“It was a great event and we are so pleased with the response,” said Diane Lotking, MHCC&amp;amp;M&amp;nbsp; development&amp;nbsp; director &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;Located in Government Camp, &lt;strong&gt;The Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum&lt;/strong&gt; strengthens community, fosters arts and letters, and protects, stabilizes and showcases all aspects of the history of Mt. Hood. Friday:&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Timberline to Tunnel on Bridal Veil Trail, Training 10 a.m., Rates start at 3 p.m. to&amp;nbsp; 6 p.m.; Saturday:&amp;nbsp; Timberline to Government Camp, Races start at 11 a.m. to&amp;nbsp; 2 p.m.&amp;nbsp; Sunday:&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Skibowl Downhill&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Training 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Races Noon; Awards at Skibowl 3 p.m.&amp;nbsp; Live music and a party will follow the Saturday races, starting after the races, at The Ratskeller in Government Camp. &lt;br /&gt;

Dogs and their owners are invited to close the summer season at the Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl with a fun run/walk through the Mt. 		<content type="html">The Alpine Slide and mountain bike park will officially open this Saturday and Sunday (June 12-13) from 11am to 6pm. The rest of the Adventure Park will open the following weekend with the bungee jump, zip line, reverse bungee, indy karts, kid's super play zone, kiddy karts, summer tube hill and more.&lt;br /&gt;

		<content type="html">With all of the new spring snow DUMPING on Mt. Hood, we have reconsidered and are recalling the staff to come open a day (well...night) earlier than we had scheduled. We are now opening at 3pm on Thursday, April 1st! This is no April fools joke. We are expecting to have over 2 feet of new snow by then. 		<content type="html">March 19th and 20th was the second annual Hope on the Slopes event for the American Cancer Society held at Mt. Hood Skibowl. This was an amazing event that raised $48, 891! This was achieved by teams and individuals getting donations as part of a vertical challenge. Team Tuna was the top team for donations and brought in over $10,000!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Thanks to everyone who participated in this great event at Mt. Hood Skibowl. We look forward to next year being even bigger and better! 		<content type="html">This Friday and Saturday (March 19th and 20th) Mt. Hood Skibowl will be hosting two events and TONS of live music. The first event begins Friday and is a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. &lt;a target="_blank" href="http://www.oregonhopeontheslopes.org"&gt;Hope on the Slopes&lt;/a&gt; begins at 1pm Friday and is a Vertical Challenge that runs overnight until 1pm Saturday. We have already raised nearly $35,000!!! You can still sign up (minimum $200 per team) or make a donation to an individual or a team. The chair runs all night long!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Suds on the Slope in our beer festival that begins Saturday afternoon. Beer and live music are featured in this traditional Skibowl event.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Over the two days we will 16 bands!!! Come up, enjoy the sunshine on the mountain and have fun listening to some great music.&lt;br&gt;</content>
